Keep Water Outside by Draining the AC Properly

The HVAC system is near the top of every home maintenance tips list out there. In warm summer months, it’s a necessity for the A/C to deliver cold air into the home. Make sure the A/C can drain properly to perform efficiently and to avoid draining water from wreaking havoc inside your home.

Make sure the drainage lines are long enough to have the water moving completely outside the home, away from the interior walls and the unit. Condensing water can pool and leak into the home, damaging walls and carpet. By maintaining the line is free and clear of debris and long enough, you can keep that condensation where it belongs—away from the home. Then, sit back and enjoy the cool air blowing through your vents while it heats up outside.
