You Need to Test the Water

Radon testing is useful and advantageous for all homeowners. Most people focus their efforts on testing the air for radon, but what about water? Shouldn’t we all worry about the radon levels in the water we drink? The majority of homes in the United States receive water from public water sources and these infrastructures test the water for radon and report their findings. Now, an exception to this is if you have water from a personal well. If that is the case, you may want to allow a professional to test it.

Always conduct the air test first. If your air test comes back clean, then you don’t have to worry about the water test. Waterborne radon is not as big of a concern as the radon in the air. Even then, it’s easy to remedy.
