December Checklist: Is Your Emergency Kit Up to Date?
Are you ready to take on December and the winter weather that follows? As the season grows closer, it helps to have an established checklist so that you don’t forget anything. It helps to always be prepared, especially in case of an emergency.
Update Your Emergency Kit
If you have an emergency household kit, you should update it every year. Check any expiration dates on your food and get rid of any food that has gone bad. Do the same with your medications. If you don’t have one for your house already, that’s okay. Think about the kinds of supplies you might need if you were camping. A lot of camping gear can overlap with emergency gear. Nonperishable food items, flashlights, sleeping bags and medicine are must-haves in any emergency kit.
